Giving your committee their own logins

Everybody on your committee can have their own login. Nobody shares a password, and you can see who recorded what.

Settings → People. Only an owner sees this tab.

Inviting somebody

Enter their name, their email address and the role you want them to have. They get an email with a link, they set their own password, and they are in. The link lasts seven days.

One email address is one login. If somebody has left, remove them — the same address can be invited again later.

The three roles

• Owner — can do everything, including inviting people and closing the account. You need at least one, and you cannot remove yourself.
• Committee — can do everything else. This is the right role for most people.
• Viewer — can see everything but change nothing. Good for a site rep who needs to look up who holds which plot but should not be editing anything.

Everybody on the account can see everything. The roles control what people can change, not what they can read.

You can change somebody's role at any time, and it takes effect the next time they do anything.

If you run more than one site

You can restrict somebody to one site. They then see that site only, with no way to switch. Leave it unset — which is the default — and they can work in all of them.

This is set when you invite them, or afterwards on the People tab. You cannot do it to yourself.

Cancelling an invitation

An invitation that has not been accepted can be sent again or withdrawn. Withdrawing it kills the link.
